Medication management.
Non-opioid first. Monitored throughout.

Evidence-based, responsible pharmacotherapy for chronic pain — neuropathics, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, topicals, and adjuncts — built around the underlying diagnosis.

What It Is

Medication as one tool, not the whole strategy.

Pharmacotherapy plays a role in many pain treatment plans, but it is rarely the whole answer. At Triumph we use medications strategically: the right drug class for the underlying pain mechanism, started at appropriate dose, escalated only when justified, and discontinued when no longer producing benefit. Our default is non-opioid. Opioids are used in narrow, carefully monitored circumstances when there is no better option.

How It Works

A formulary built around the pain mechanism.

Neuropathic pain (radiculopathy, neuropathy, post-surgical nerve pain) responds to specific gabapentinoids, SNRIs, and tricyclics. Inflammatory pain often responds to topical and oral NSAIDs and corticosteroid bursts. Muscle-mediated pain may respond to short courses of muscle relaxants. Specific headache patterns have specific abortive and preventive options. We match the medication to the diagnosis.

Who It's For

For patients whose pain requires more than procedural treatment.

Most patients on a Triumph treatment plan use some medication, even if briefly. Some need medication management as a primary modality — patients with diffuse pain syndromes, certain neuropathies, or refractory headache. We follow state PDMP, urine drug screening, and controlled substance agreement protocols where indicated. The standards exist for patient safety; we hold to them.

Recovery & Results

Tracked. Re-evaluated. Adjusted or discontinued.

Every medication on the plan has a documented indication, target effect, target duration, and stopping criteria. We see you at standardized intervals to reassess. If a medication is not producing meaningful benefit, we stop it. If a different agent is more appropriate, we transition. Long-term opioid therapy, when used, has its own structured monitoring and safety framework.
