Painful diabetic neuropathy.
Beyond the pills.

Burning, electric, or numb pain in the feet from diabetic peripheral neuropathy is one of the most challenging chronic pain conditions. The toolkit has expanded significantly — including spinal cord stimulation for refractory cases.

Who It's For

If this is you, we can help.

Burning, electric, or aching pain in the feet — sometimes extending up the legs. Often worse at night. Numbness and reduced sensation. Sometimes mechanical changes in foot structure over time.

What to Expect

Your first visit.

Focused neurologic examination. Review of diabetes management and glycemic trajectory — the most important variable for progression. EMG/NCS when indicated. A discussion of pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic options.

Treatment Options

Optimize glycemic control. Layer in targeted therapy.

Coordinated glycemic optimization with primary care. First-line pharmacotherapy with gabapentinoids, SNRIs, and topical agents. For refractory painful diabetic neuropathy, spinal cord stimulation has Level I evidence and is FDA-approved for the indication. A trial precedes any permanent implant.
