Focused examination including provocative testing. EMG/NCS to confirm the diagnosis and quantify severity. A staged plan from splinting through injection through surgical referral.

Treatment Options

Splint, inject, release.

Night splinting for mild to moderate cases. Ergonomic and activity modification. Ultrasound-guided corticosteroid injection into the carpal tunnel for moderate cases and to confirm responsiveness. For severe cases or those not responding to conservative care, surgical referral for carpal tunnel release.
